Straffan Camogie are proud to be forming an adult-level Camogie Team for the first time in over 20 years. With growing numbers in Straffan, we are extremely proud to be in the position to reform our Junior team, something that has been a key goal of our club for a number of years. Our plan for 2023 is to give Straffan players the opportunity to compete at Junior level in Kildare.
Charlie Keegan, also club development officer, has been ratified by our executive committee to take on the role of team manager, and to apply past experience of working with both adult and underage teams. Carmel Walsh joins the management team and brings much experience from her involvement with Kildare county and her club work. Last year's successful U17’s management team of Fiona Timmons and David Behan, will also join the management team and are ready to further advance Straffan Camogie club. Fiona Farrell, link to last winning Junior team, has also kindly offered to help the cause. All are agreed the Junior team will require the entire club and community working together to support our girls and to build a successful Junior team. We encourage the community of Straffan to please get behind us to make this happen.
Training will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, commencing on Monday January 16th on the Straffan Astro. If you are interested in finding out more about our Junior Camogie Team or playing with our club this year, please reach out to us via our social channels or email at secretary.straffan.kildare@camogie.ie.
